Christine Borzumato-Gainey
PhD, LCMHCS
Christine is the owner and director of Lakeview Professional Counseling. She began her career journey in management at a Fortune 500 company where she discovered supporting the people who reported to her to be the most rewarding part of her job. Thus, Christine returned to college for graduate school, moved to North Carolina, and created a new, purposeful life. As a professional counselor and counselor educator, she has been honored to explore the many facets of clients’ lives from mood concerns such as anxiety and depression to identity exploration and relationship cultivation. She deeply enjoys helping clients understand and accept themselves at their core, believing that this self-knowledge serves as the best guide to important life decisions and fostering meaningful relationships. She has written several journal articles, book chapters, and three books.
After two graduate degrees and a couple decades of experience in counseling, education, and counselor supervision, Christine opened LKVW.

Anna Scacco
MA, LCMHCA
As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA), I work with adults and teens navigating anxiety, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and the lasting impact of family or developmental trauma. I have a special passion for supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and those whose lived experiences may not fit neatly into traditional norms or expectations. Whether you’re managing daily anxiety, feeling stuck in difficult relationship patterns, or working through the pain of a complicated family history, therapy can offer a space to unpack, heal, and grow. I aim to create a warm, affirming, and collaborative space where you can be your full self, without judgment.
My approach is grounded in person-centered therapy, meaning I view you as the expert on your own experience. I integrate evidence-based tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you build insight, develop self-compassion, and take meaningful steps toward change. Together, we’ll work at your pace, exploring both present day stressors and deeper patterns rooted in past experiences. Healing is possible, and you deserve support that honors who you are.
I offer virtual sessions for clients throughout North Carolina. If you’re ready to begin, or even just curious about the process, I welcome you to reach out for a free consultation.
